There are many ways you can trap a knife, but this one is pretty effective. You can use the jacket of your opponent to trap the knife and prevent him from stabbing you. Try it out and you will see how effective this knife defense tactic really is!
Sometimes, trapping the wrist of your opponent can be quite difficult, especially if he is very strong and big. Using his jacket or hoodie can lead to your advantage because your attacker has to put much more force in bringing the knife towards you to hurt you.
If you grab the jacket, you have a tight grip, and that gives you an advantage since your attacker has more difficulties in controlling his movements and where to maneuver the knife. While doing this, you can continuously strike him with your other hand in precise, quick movements.
