I got the package deal with both the live blade and the trainer, plus I ordered a Fox 599 at the same time. The Fox seems kind of "meh" to me compared to the CDHK. The workmanship of the CDHK is superb. The whole knife has a wonderful feel in the hand. My favorite part is the pommel ring, it has so many applications for "self defense" and making an uncooperative belligerent see their way around to turning cooperative without having to draw the blade. The pocket opener feature took a few minutes to get used to, but I picked it up pretty fast. Actually I had never used one of these types of features before like the Emerson wave, or cold steels variation. It's pretty convenient actually. The tool attachment is pretty handy for adjusting optics at the range. the pouch is pretty small and fits well into a sleeve pocket on a "combat" shirt. Plus it is an awesome "fidget spinner". Service from The Ultimate Knife was great. I had a question about my order and ended up talking to Lad when he had just closed up shop and he was very helpful and patient. Brad answered my shipping questions. If your thinking about pulling the trigger on buying this, do it. You will be very pleased with it.
Im torn between this and the DART. For me, I think the DART is a more practical blade for what I carry a knife for day to day, but the extra tool/s design is pretty fantastic and I could see myself using that at time. Even if I have access to those bits and more at work.
