Cool little knife. Nothing wrong with 8Cr13Mov for the intended purpose IF it’s heat treated properly! My Cold Steel SR1 Lite is a testament to that. Thanks for sharing!

How's the back side of the blade is it double sided and if not does the backside have a false edge for sharpening?

I really like the design. I’m a student of Filipino martial arts. That design has a lot of things we look for. Also for self defense 8cr will do, it helps keep the price down. I really don’t understand people that spend big money on a defense knife you don’t really use.
Very nice video on a knife most wouldn’t do

Been looking at this one since it made a second appearance in one of your more recent videos. How does this karambit spin? Ring metal chamfered; and ergonomics fit for repeated twists and turns? Thanks.

Kershaw does use 8cr on their imported blades. Chinese made Spyderco blades, and about half of CRKT knives also use it. It has a bad reputation because its dirt cheap, but its really about the same as AUS 8. Totally fine imo. Not my favorite by any means, but it wont keep me from buying a knife if I like the design, and its priced appropriately. CRKT overcharges for it on colabs, but I guess they have to pay the designers…still, I don't have a high opinion of CRKT, who still uses 5cr which is a damn insult. Thanks for the video. Sorry for the rant.
