There's no chance whatsoever of the provoke blade closing on your fingers.

Also when closing the knife (Provoke) you need to pull the lever down to release the blade

The problem you are having that I am noticing is that you are not placing the Kara in the backside of your pocket – by placing the Knife at the back of your pocket – your knife will deploy every time? Just an FYI

Any weapon takes time to become familiar with . I feel like this was a biased review . If I were comparing a $250 knives vs a roughly $100 knife of course I would favor the one that was more expensive if not then what does it say about the $250 knife that a $100 knife was the better of the two ?

Emerson is better having both thou I prefer the higher end provoke with veff serrations can be used as an impact weapon with aluminum metal base then instantly deploy blade if needed with same grip just my two cents good video thou

You're knowledge of iaido earned you a new subscriber. I'm a Filipino Martial Arts instructor and appreciate a good karambit. Gotta buy a new one before they're illegal in NJ. Think I'm going with the Emerson. I really like the Provokes design though.

Sorry to tell you man but the provoke can be deployed when you pull it out of your pocket You have to put it back farther in your pocket to where the joint will catch the seam of Is the pocket opening when you pull it out Just like most other quick Draw knives on the market

I see you got another Karambit. I was the one who bought your black one. Sadly I sold it and regret that decision till this day.

I think your problem is your thinking of it has a cutting weapon first. The provoke is better because you can use it as a attention getter. Then if things go side ways. You can use the blade.
With a karambit the problem is its only a offense blade.
I also like a balisong because I can use it closed an only open it when things get bad.
My training is in Filipino martial arts so blades are what I love.

You can deploy the provoke out of pocket by just twisting the ring slightly as you pull up. You catch the ( switch, flipper, I don't know what to call it) on the inside of your pocket

When I saw this I wanted to watch it. But apparently you are definitely not a knife guy. It deploys just like a fox karambit . I cannot believe you couldn’t figure it out

Have you seen the Facebook post of the guy who had the Provoke open in his pocket? He had to go to the ER, it was a pretty serious laceration. That's what turned me off to the Provoke.
