Is the Glock Knife a perfect tool for the money? Karambit Knife Fighting
Did you know Glock makes knives?
They got their start making entrenching tools and knives.
There are two models: an 81, like this one that has saw teeth and a model 78 with no teeth that’s just smooth on the back.
The numbers represent the year they were invented.
There’s an endcap for storage and a bottle opener.
The blade on this knife is 6.5” long and made of spring steel with an electrophoretic finish.
The sheath has a locking clip that holds the knife in place, and I like how firm it locks up.
Here’s a hole for a lanyard, a drainage hole to let any water out, and a belt clip.
The two I own weren’t all that sharp when I first got them, but I was building a deck for a client a few years back, who mentioned that he liked to sharpen knives and he was able to put a good edge on both of these.
I actually use mine for opening packages, but they also make a great camping or survival knife.
Let me know in the comments if you think these knives cost more or less than $50. @hausplans
