Fighting with Yellow || Restoring a Cavalier Chest KarambitKnives, com

Watch me fluctuate between struggling and succeeding as I restore and rebuild this Cavalier Chest from the 1950’s. Color matching vintage furniture, I learned, is very difficult but this is the best option I could come up with. Mahagony veneer is chemically altered to have a golden appearance and I remade a floating box that rides on the lid of this cedar chest.

*About Stillworks*
I make videos of my daily shop life and all the crazy things I’m working on. That could be project builds, woodworking skits, more introspective stuff, and educational videos. Think of my woodworking as exactly what you do: Not specializing in one thing, rather cranking out whatever comes to mind, regardless of genre. Thanks for watching!

Cedar closets were also a thing. Not sure how much now, but, I can recall a friend of mine growing up, his parents built out their basement, and included a cedar room, to keep out the moths from their clothes. Cedar is a MUCH better option than moth balls. That sh*t STANKS.

    I could just be old.
