Such a Vibrant character, with a wonderful positive message! R.I.P Bill ❤
I know that Bill Alexander and Bob Ross had a falling out later on in their careers, but isn't it wonderful to be able to watch these masters paint again on video? I remember watching Bill painting on PBS and marveled at his painting techniques. I will say that he is a bit of a talker instead of doing that while he is painting. He talks to the camera explaining his philosophy of life and painting, which I enjoy hearing, he has a lot of wisdom to impart. I can tell the passion he had for the art and it shows. It's wonderful to watch him paint… RIP to the great artists, but they encourage the artists of today to get out and paint something. He said at the end that he wanted to leave a mark in this world, and he has… he won't be forgotten. Cheers!
It's 2024, We could really benefit from TV shows like this and Bob Ross to help relieve the stressors of our time.
William Alexander is The Beatles of TV painters, Bob whatz-is-name with the afro is The Monkees. No contest.
If you are happy to paint every picture with a mountain ,he is your man so boring
I used to regularly watch this painter every week religiously in my late teens/early 20s.
I had forgotten his name, so I was not able to find his videos on Youtube until this randomly came up while I was looking at rose propagation videos.
This is a happy day for me!!!!
a way better artist than bob ross, who I also enjoyed RIP to both
Simplemente maravilloso, adoro la pintura y las técnicas que usas WOW!!!!
HAPPY TREES!!!!
I also have to give Alexander credit for "living power", which he discusses in this program, for he lived to a much older age than Ross, who died of lymphoma at age 52 (not that Ross was at fault for that; his premature death was very sad).
I should also add that Alexander's voice and personality obviously did not fit with ASMR, which was a big part of Bob Ross' appeal.
4:58 look at that size of that nail
Does he always have a brand new paintboard each show?.
Amazing painting!
magnificent
Although Bob Ross is good no doubt, there is something about Bill's personality and art that draws me in and I couldn't explain why
