I don't know maybe it's just me but this doesn't seem to "real world usable." I'm thinking it would be real tough to be able to get your finger in the ringlet to pull out in a HIGH STRESS SELF DEFENSE SITUATION? Maybe with LOTS of practice you could but I don't want to have to dedicate hours of training to pulling out a knife fast.

Let me get this straight. You pay $30 for the ring then install it and void the warranty. Spyderco has to change their warranty. What are they afraid of. It's my knife. I should be able to service it. These aren't complex tools.
