In this clip, we share self defense tips on how to position yourself in a knife attack.
There are different ways to look at this. First off, if your opponent seems to be concealing a weapon, you need to position yourself strategically for a first strike.
If it’s a dynamic attack, you’ll want to put your hands up and work with your upper strikes and low kicks to fend off the attacker.

Do a video where there's two coming at you from both sides. How do we get out of that?
Thanks for the upload
I was immediately wary in this one as the attacker is left-handed. (Might transition the weapon for example)
Avoid Getting Cut and Stab At All Time's,
Defending against a knife attacker is always a risky affair, but I totally agree with you, using your legs and maintaining distance are extremely important strategies against a knife wielding assailant. This is the one self-defense scenario where I wouldn’t think twice about putting the serious hurt on the attacker, the very first chance that I get.
I've been telling you, to use your shirt, jacket or belt, to add space, your opponent sees these as a weapon, when they are swinging around, and not simply a piece of clothing, it's psychology. It gives you added times to react.
Beautiful tale!
One of the most crucial things that I've learned from the self-defense community is to maintain considerable distance when interacting with unknown contacts in a potentially hostile manner or environment and to watch for the hands, as they reveal one's intent. I'm still trying to develop the second habit though! Thanks for this sir!
