I just got one at an Amazon return store for $15. I assume the return was due to defective safety, knife opens quick. My 13yo will like it for his birthday. Ive been testing it out and I like it. I felt the safety switch was a gimmick. My first experience with a karambit style knife and i will need one similar to match my sons.
Has anyone tried removing the spring assist?
Its pretty bad designed. The blade should be a lot more curved.
I personally like the idea of having the safety ON, to make sure I dont hurt myself in any situation. Im willing to sacrifise a quick deployment over that. Am I the only one with this mentality?
Never a reason to pull a knife over a gun so it's okay if it doesn't open you can just open it up when you pull it out.
Spring assist on a wave feature knife is just about the stupidest thing I have ever seen. First moves are disabling that spring and the safety.
If you remove the left side, safety button side spine screws and the pocket clip screws but leave the pivot screw in you can rotate the G10 toward the back of the knife and remove the button and the rod that locks the blade. I put the button back in without the safety rod so dust and dirt is less likely to get in the button hole and get to the pivot area. Safety button still moves but does not work without the locking rod so I am good to go. The safety is not a good idea IMHO and this was easier than gluing and can be restored if you want to sell the knife someday if you want or need to.
I unscrewed some of the screws and took the safety out. I had issues with the safety right out of the box
how long have you been clean?
Is there a way to switch the pocket clip?
I just superglued the safety open.
Foxconn 199 best folding karambit, but pricy thought but totally worth it
