    I would imagine your holster has some sort of built in retention to prevent a gun grab. It is way more likely as a uniformed officer that your wrestling with someone and they grab your knife to use on you. I would not wear this on duty unless it was better concealed preventing someone from grabbing it. But, you do you.

    Another plus about paying more for a quality knife is rather than sending your money out of the country (cause if you are buying cheap gear from Amazon it's probably coming from China) you are supporting a local business instead.

    I disagree on this recommendation shorter blades tend to bind up on cloth. I’d recommend something longer and pointier.

    What are department policies on using a knife as an instrument of deadly force? I have never heard of a suspect getting cut ot stabbed by an officer
