2:23, there is a girl who plays with knives (she has a yt channel) and she actually shows on one fo her exo k videos how to change the button on this karambit for a lefty. It's pretty easy to do.

@NeevesKnives Are you thinking about a video about disassembling this knife into parts, e.g. for maintenance purposes? I didn't find it anywhere on YouTube. This knife is very interesting, especially the locking mechanism. It would be nice to see all the parts in detail.

I have the CRKT Provoke. Deploys in one motion vs the 2 motions that this knife requires. However, this is a fun looking fidget gadget. I'll get one whenever they are back in stock. Currently everyone is out of stock.

I cut myself with it, wasn't bad but i noticed the tip is slightly bent because it hit the metal loop.

I really hate that design!!! Whoever thought of this an idiot. I wouldn’t use this for self defense, it’s mechanics is stupid and dangerous. This design is too confusing to use and the motion used to open and close the knife is just stupid…. And why would anyone use this as a self defense knife, you’re practically revealing to everyone including your attacker you have a weapon when you pull it out. And this design puts other ppl at risk of getting cut when you deploy the knife. It’s like using a nunchucks with knive ( sure it sounds kool when you explain it, but that doesn’t make it a good idea). If I could make a change to this design, it would be to just make it into a real otf gravity knife.

First and foremost the fake knife AkA the trainer will get more hand time, let that sink in. If I would have tried this knife out before buying it, I wouldn’t have bought one. Niche & innovative definitely, practical & utilitarian nope. My biggest con that no one mentioned is that, it puts a lot of uncomfortable pressure on the finger (the one put in the ring) when trying to unlock. IMHO this is not a self defense weapon, keep in mind that majority of the bad guys carry guns, also there’s too many variables to consider and adding complexity while opening it, make this a NoGo in my book. I would never hand over the real blade one to anyone to check out, it is a very dangerous knife to fidget with. I can only imagine how many people seriously injured themselves while playing with it. Keeping it = yes, pocketing it = I don’t think so, High Shelving it (on display but hard to get) = definitely.

Just got one of these today and had to come watch this video again to make sure I was opening it correctly. It's very fast and easy once you know how, but definitely not intuitive. This is not a knife you would want to hand to someone without a fair bit of instruction. I did manage to cut myself very slightly on the close. You can still swing the mechanism down with the blade not fully tucked in. I've found that I have to make a conscious effort to make sure it's fully in position before swinging it closed. Lastly, if you intend to carry it in a right handed pocket, you absolutly have to switch the clip around. I'm not sure why it comes the way it does, the vast majority of people are right handed. I know that can be an irritant for the more sinister among us, but it's true. Why put the clip on in such a way that most users will need to change it?

The way the karambit is set up you can reverse the button on the karambit. You will notice it has a screw on the other side of the karambit which allows you to do that.
