I'm way late to the game, but on the topic of budget knives and the enjoyment, for me, it's the Mini Praxis. I have the olive/black model, with the textured titanium clip. We're talking $40 at the end of the day. By all accounts, an excellent knife. I never carry it. It gets used every once in a while, because it lives in a box in the kitchen, on the counter. But I get all my enjoyment at the $250+ bracket… for now.
