Whether it’s Kali or any other form of martial arts you need to train in all conditions. For many a suit is required for business, jobs, events, outings, etc and it’s just as important to understand how you perform in that attire as it is in your gi and athletic wear.
Do you agree or disagree? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.

If you can't do it in your street clothes, you probably can't do it…
That goes for duty gear as well.
I agree 100%
I train in a small private Dojo and most of us always wear what we had on that day. You must be able to defend yourself in whatever environment you are in as well as how you are dressed.
You very foolish
Very valid point. I am not a professional athlete or fighter of any stretch. If I have to use any physical training I have developed, it will be either in my work lifting heavy things or on the street to defend myself or my family. I will not be wearing a gi or workout clothing. It will be in boots, heavy work pants or street clothing.
I may not always train, but when I do I train in Ingram/Carnate!! Love this Paul and so true
I think Just drop the suit jacket so I could use my live hand if attacked while in business attire. But your point is very well taken. I train in my everyday clothes at least once a week. LOve your vids.
Yes very important always be ready anywhere anytime
Love the training, pugay.
in slow motion through the video why does it seem that you are backhanding with a flat of a blade versus backhanding with the edge of the blade?
Totally Agree.
I train in my work clothing. Steel toes, heavy pants, all the pens/pliers/tape as I would always wear at work. Hard hat too…
SEMPER PARATUS.
Good point im just that guy who always has my jujitsu shorts and a t-shirt on lol but i do some training in my full winter gear cus it gets VARY could whare i live
Been doing muay thai for the better part of my life now and I'm now looking to get involved in either kali or mma, and I can't really decide at all. I've been thinking about it for a while now. I'm not into mma as far as the sport goes but for more combat conditioning and self defense. but kali also teaches a lot more self defence techniques agh
anyone have any opinions?
advice?
(P.S – I have the very basics of each art as I've tried classes in both of them)
Nice video
I definitely agree, though I think that one thing to keep in mind is that martial arts is available to folks from many walks of life. While everyone, any one, should be able to train in order to maximize their potential, some folks don't have the liberty to successfully replace their suits if damage should occur as a result of training. So, simply put, I would make sure to forewarn people that caution should be taken to prevent any damage OR that perhaps a cheaper, secondary suit should be obtained for this purpose.
Use FX-599 karambit
i agree 100%.
i train outside much more then i do indoors!
i am on board. ill post my video up soon!
