All we ever do is drill it as a takedown never a side punch my teacher say kong kuk mean attack not punch I could see the take down do I think it will work not really the side punch from a distance can generate power any thoughts
I have a question my school the instructors are doing bunkai and seeing what we come up with why is this called a side punch ever has taught me it’s a takedown I’m a wrestler also my whole life def not taking me down and I hate when I hear well it’s for the in trained attacker would u use this as a strike to close distance of defense backing up or a takedown
In Japanese we call it oi zuki. It is ubiquitous in numerous kata. Another great video Sabumnim.
