If you DEEPLY love gundam, building gundam models, spending 95% of gameplay going through menus after menus after menus just to upgrade stats for each fucking part, 15-20 mins doing a mission just to go back to menu after menu after menu upgrading then you'll love this game
If you like gundam, never built a gundam model but think it's cool and want to actually play the game with shitty story and spend 95% less time going through menu after menu after menu….don't fucking buy this game. Go play Armored Core instead if it's on sale.
you need to mix your audio better, it sounds horrible, and you can fix it so easily with software or plugins
I wonder why the Gundam franchise can’t make a game like Amored Core?
Thing is, I've seen a couple Gundams that look like the Wave Rider form (tank legs and parts moved around to look like a jet)!
Just finished it tonight, and frankly while I do love it and think it's miles above NGB, I do think it's a step down from GB3. Lot of people already covered gameplay, but I will add that not as many Gunpla were added as I'd hope. Had a Gundam Spiegel with the Moon Gundam's backpack in GBM, would have loved to be able to recreate that build.
My biggest gripe is the story, which is very bare bones. I really do feel like GB3 had something that made me want to do several playthroughs of the story, with its cast of characters and how they bounced off of each other, and how satisfying the story felt to me, even as it ended… I didn't get a whole lot of that with GB4, which was a huge disappointment after hearing it was set in the same Universe as its predecessors GB3 and GBM. By the time I realized I was in the endgame, I was left thinking: "Surely, there's more, right?" And unfortunately that wasn't the case. It'd be nice if they had given a few more chapters of just exploring characters and their dynamics like they did with GB3, and the characters that do return feel sort of wasted. It's not what I would have preferred, but I'm hoping the DLC will add more to the Story thst expand on the characters and maybe give a new plot line to follow.
Honestly, if wanted to Genshin it and give us regular free Story Quests, that'd be amazing. But unfortunately, this ain't a Gacha.
SPOILER
It's all but confirmed Meister Jin is Takuma, GB3's protagonist. Between him using a GN based Build that's somewhat similar to the Qan [T] Command, him building the base of Lin's new Gunpla, and similar hair colors. So you'd think they'd touch a bit more on how things might be between him and Misa, if things are the same since Battlelogue or if they've reconnected over those 6 years since then (and if it's the former, then that feels like character assassin on Takuma's part considering everything he and Misa went through). The most we really get is one or two throw-away lines with Meister Jin acting awkward in response to something said relating to Misa. I'm really hoping that if he really is Takuma, they'll do something between him and Misa via DLC like they did with her Dad's team in GB3.
