    A perfect Bowie:
    11” blade
A slight distal taper, no need to make it an Axe, must be fenceable.
Top and bottom quillions to catch and trap in binds
    D guard for protection
Side Nagle or nail for som knuckle protection
Rectangular handle to sense blade alignment
Indentation in the at the index finger to move and manipulate from the fingertips.
A slight smooth rise at the back spine of the handle where it meets the back of the palm, to act as a pivot for the index finger.

Put a D guard on that as well and it’s a perfect fencers knife.

What Bowie knife enthusiast would not want to be the owner of one of those , I sure know I would because that thing is beautiful with that curve guard,14" blade ,clip point, wooden handle and well thought-out leather sheath. Good craftsmanship and the cutting display good also.

Beautiful piece of work there, Phil. An excellent example of form and function in a historic fighting knife. Great job, keep up the good work.
