"I go…and i got him…strike, grab, turn, and i have…and its over…" unless he uses the same technique of "strike, grab, turn, and i have" then you are in for a long night
great techinque zone to the outside nikkyo , but the intial strike to disorientate /stun /surprise is essential if it's functional , then we use it !. comments on here saying RUN !. yep that's plan A ..but if you can't , then you have to think of plan B and stay alive . This is a great move to know if not oyu get peppered ! . twice in a knife attack ..I ran , no hero stuff , but he caught up with me while running i grabbed a broken picket fence a turned and beat him ..that's the rules there …there is none !that's plan C use an equaliser to even the odds !…but yes a great lesson here Sir !… mostly this is about the angle of attack and direction and distance ; it's not usually about the weapon but the angle . stick , knife empty hand .. the angle of attack is the same really !.
If a knife comes into play. No 1 figure out what weapons you got ….
Unfortunately the truth is the matter, there is no real defense against knife attacks, other than shooting, deploying, chemical irritant or use us a taser, if the taser is effective.
All good if you're trained to do this. Most people who see a knife coming towards them will go into 'fight or flight' instinct. Just be smart and chose flight because that's the safest choice. You're not a coward if you run, you're human ❤
