Carrots are a cool season crop, and it’s important to keep the soil moist and cool during germination. I’m also showing how I am planting out all of my varieties of carrots this year and using them as a companion plant in my garden.

Well, just remember if they do not come up, I have plenty of Kuroda carrot seed to go around. I think this is going to work. If not I can always plant at the regular time in October. I got my green beans planted yesterday. Three fifty foot rows.
I only tried to grow carrots once, years ago. I have heavy clay soil. I double dug but didn't add compost or anything. Most germinated but they didn't do well.
I planted late in the spring and I'm sure I didn't water enough.
