Italian Switchblade Refurbishing KarambitKnives,com

Inherited this Italian switch blade from my late grandfather. Not a lot of history on it. The blade was slightly bent at the tip which was very nerve wracking to straighten. The original handle was in bad condition and didn’t appear to be salvageable.
I have never worked on knives before and therefore not an expert at all. I wanted to restore it to the best of my abilities. I was not concerned about restoring for maximum value as I have no plans to sell.
The handle was made out of purple heart and all the pins are brass. Carving the grooves for the mechanics of the knife proved to be the most challenging part of the project.
Hope you enjoy and thank you for watching.
