I'd pick my 45 cal. Over a knife any day
Karambits are a surgical tool for those who train in being surgical.
EDC I use a Gerber Combat folder. IF I choose to carry a fixed blade it is usually a cold steel Kobun Tanto. For Bushcraft I use either a ESSE #6 or a BLACKJACK HALO. Lots of other useful knives for various things, I use the correct tool for the job at hand. Knives are like AMMO< there is no ENOUGH.
In my opinion, NO. IT is a specialized knife for a specific style of fighting and if you havent trained in that style with that knife, you will be limited and the knifes design is not good for anything else but that fighting style. Ive trained a bit with a Karambit and quite frankly IDe rather just have a nice Fairbairn style straight blade and a really sharp edge and a really sharp POINT.
Ofcors but for edc i hawe ( hawe 940 Osborn and i use him regularly and know how to use him ). Karambit is not youke it literaly is another lewel beast. And this is made for protection and using in fild but people dont ewen csn comprehend how direct is ti bee in knife fught , gun fught is 90% easier its not like its almost personal. Can put words. it's not for everyone, definitely

If you hold both in reverse position you basically have a sword and a shield that can change hands without changing. If you rely on them like they were just an extension of your body, even better. It's like punching someone and him getting the whole colateral even if he is defending.
I think the Karambit is overrated! The trench knife is a better option!
