    I agree that pak sau should be done with the body turning, BUT, if faced with fast puncher or when you spar, you don't really have time to turn the body with that pak sau. It's a good thing you don't have to, because you can push you pak as far as the other shoulder, without the turning. Remeber, you are not fighting the force, the straight punch is going forward, you use your pak sau to deflect it away from your head, you just don't turn the body because you don't have enough time.
