Sorry, bud. Nothing like a kukri (which is a small falcata). The smatchet is a small xiphos. All of which are preferable to a k-bar, which is best used for slicing onions. But, I love all of them. And Americans should be so very proud of the Arkansas toothpick. Which is a beautiful blade.
Beautiful blade! But I have a question: Rick's smatchet seems to has a shorter handle than the "regular" ones (an overall length of 16 1/8 inches, and a blade length of 10 7/8 inches). What are the measures of wildertools smatchet?
whats with the domino masks in the training film
I bought my own smatchet, not a custom job but still effective.
Someone shoot them dogs
I love the video, but next time please put the dogs up.
Good video. I went Rick’s website but he doesn’t seem to offer this knife any longer.

Great blade and great dogs 🙂
nice knives
That's one bad ass blade
you're f**** awesome with exquisite taste – the Pamela Anderson arm band you need like a quarter traditional Japanese sleeve Bushido
haha, those dogs
Great video as ever, cool to know you're a Cormack McCarthy fan too! Rick Marchand is an inspiration!
Congratulations. Really awesome blade conception. Nothing unnecessary but truly great job!
