BEWARE, THIS GUY IS WORKING WITH ANOTHER FRAUD, MONI AZIK WHO WAS THE SNAKE OIL SALESMEN OF COMMANDO KRAV MAGA.  THEY ARE NOW PROMOTING THIS AS KRAV MAGA AND THAT MIKE KANAREK IS A SPECIAL OPTS, HE IS NOT.  HE HAS THREE YEARS IN THE MILITARY A BASIC STANDARD FOR ALL IN ISRAEL WHO SERVE.

I knew this guy was a BS artist the moment I saw him choosing a reverse grip vs another knife… what kind of fool sacrifices inches of reach and a lot of angles in a knife duel? Then when I saw a move that is low percentage it nailed the coffin shut
For a start the attack is very unlikely. A nice wide long range backhanded slash.. purlease! 2ndly his first counterattack is a very low effectiveness slash to the midsection.. that shit will have no effect. So right there it fails.
The guy just freezes to allow all this follow up BS.
    A total fail.

@CQB32 I confused my acronyms. MCAP and MACP. Army Combatives is certainly not so good as MCMAP, in my opinion. The ephasis is on grappling and takedowns. They ignore the odds of an opponent having a knife on the ground. I've trained with Army guys and they hate the program. I've been through MCMAP and I loved it. I'll talk to my buddies more about WHY. It's always been grappling, though. There isn't much room for ground game in a war zone.

  5. Smokey McBongWater says:

@CQB32 First off, MACP is about ARCHITECTURE. Secondly, Army Combatives is all about grappling. You learn strikes at the higher levels, but not very many. I suggest you stop attempting to be psuedosmart and let the military talk be left to the military dogs. If you MEAN to say MCMAP, that's Marine Corps, not Army.

@Vinman18 I know asshole, I'm trying to get multiple opinions. Multiple videos = multiple people = multiple opinions. It's not my fuckin' fault you don't understand what I'm trying to do. So. Please go fuck your mother's septic cunt.

The goal with all knife fighting is simple.. as bruce lee said "learn the structure, then forget the structure." the situation will dictate and tactics will change in an engagement. The most important thing is to remember the "Primary Danger" as Mike Lee Kanarek says. This is also where repetitive training makes things work under pressure. There are always many options, but the one that keeps you alive is directly related to your ability to "create in the midst of battle" Sigung Don Green
