    Some good advice here, a couple of things though; at 1:26 the defender is too close to the attacker, if you are going to catch the knife arm, catch it when the attackers arm is more fully extended and don't just stand still so he can punch you, drag him off balance so he can't hit you and finish him off immediately. At 1:44 do not leave your blocking arm there so he can retract the knife and cut your arm, knock the arm away with the block as you do the punch. After 2:27 – best advice for anyone
