Everyone was Kung Fu dancing, a lot of movement, but nothing gained or lost. Maybe they should spar with protesters who can run around their ranks rather than just up and back in a straight line.

Honestly if police start doing this all around the world it would be very efficient since mindless protesters wont know how to counter a roman style push and will be to scared to face against these officers. Since it will result in more arrests, there will be less protests if we start training our cops this way. We have to go back to our roots to stop these protesters from getting out of hand, they wont know how to fight back for the soul fact that protesters believe in fake main stream media and protect whats fake so chances are most if not all of them will be arrested this way.

As a police officer in America who has been on the front lines of a CDT response team during major protests, I can tell you this wouldn't work. Modern protest environments aren't open fields they are tight streets with obstacles everywhere. Protestors shoot pepper spray, draino, urine at you. They throw frozen water bottles, Molotov cocktails, fireworks and knives at you. They try to grab your shields and sticks from you. Modern police use flash bangs, pepper spray and tear gas over brute force and numbers because it's more effective especially when you are outnumbered, which you always are in a protest.
