This MIGHT work against an untrained feeder who is overcommitted to the linear low thrust (assuming he doesn't clinch as well), but the receiver is also overcommitted. Against a nonlinear attack or a feint, the receiver could be in trouble. This is a HUGE problem with "knife defense" in general. In my (limited) experience, the best way to learn the defense is to learn the offense; learn how to succesfully use a knife against a trained defender in order to understand the feeder's options and mindset. There really is no such thing as "knife defense". Those who prevail train to "counter-attack". All that being said, this technique is reasonably sound if you can secure that position in the first place, and is worth practicing along with others. The biggest danger is to assume that you can get to that position from the first strike … hence the need to train as a feeder as well as receiver. Cheers.
I think it is too long ton do waki gatame and kote gaeshi you must chose one off them.
NO REAL,EN LA CALLE NO SE ACUCHILLA ASÍ…CUANDO COJES CON TUS DOS MANOS ,LA SUYA EL DELICUENTE NAVAJERO,QUE ESTÁ TODO EL DÍA CON LA NAVAJA,LO PRIMERO SE CAMBIA LA NAVAJA A LA OTRA MANO Y TE APUÑALA, Y TIRA MUCHAS VECES Y AL MISMO TIEMPO CAMBIA DE ÁNGULAS,YO HICE LA PRUEBA Y LLEVO 30 AÑOS PRACTICANDO, Y ME COSIÓ POR TODOS LADOS…OTRA COSA QUE UN TONTO TE AMENAZE CON LA NAVAJA Y NO TENGA NI PUTA IDEA,EN ESOS CASOS SI FUNCIONAN,LA MEJOR TÉCNICA ES CORRER.UN SALUDO,SIGO SIEMPRE VUESTROS VIDEOS.UN SALUDO
While possible for the highest skilled and relaxed the problem is the entry, u won't be able to read his elbow articulation and likely will move into the stab if relying on the far arm crossing your centerline. No bueno. Even if we're to work it wouldn't be done w a closed fist block like that, muscular tension already makes u slower than aggressor, and farthest arm even slower. Plus I think Wolfman deserves some kinda shout out for making kotagaeshi great again
Kote gaeshi is an awesome technique
Although I've trained Aikido, and I hate it, this is thought there
