Can anybody explain to me why and how Ceasar or any of the past royals or potentates or whoever in power from the beginning of the history we know about…or have learned that might be a better concept, how are modern day despots any less sadistic,or criminal or crazy???

I don't care how they put it, killing innocent women and children just to dishearten the gauls is psycho to me. Goal driven killer? Bruh. Not taking away from him as a strategist and general but c'mon. He wouldn't of have been great I suppose if he hadn't done it since most likely that would have helped the gauls feel less on edge and more relaxed knowing their families are safe but still. Now I feel like visiting Vercingetorix's statue just to lay some flowers, poor dude just wanted to defend his home. Being native american this got to me lol.

This is a propaganda hit piece on a great man. Weak men hate great men. Free Mason controlled history channel is trying its hardest to make great men look bad. Let's not mention that ceasar didn't starve the people of gaul, it was his enemy that used scorched earth tactics against ceasar and ceasar trapped them in a city where his enemy threw the woman and children out because he couldn't feed them anymore and ceasar couldnt feed the either. He could barley feed his own army because of the scorched earth tactics. It's not his fault the woman loved him because he was an alpha Male. He was voted as dictator by the Senate, dictator didnt have the same bad definition back then as it does now. History channel is so lame now
