    Hoi, na de 5000 nog even een kwartiertje over een leren strop ( groene pasta van de Gamma is genoeg en dus na de 5000 eerst even ontbramen aan een stuk hout) halen en is dan zo scherp als een scheermes want  het setje van K&T is net niet toereikend om scheermes scherpte te halen, voor de rest een hele informatieve vid! Grtz

    Sharping a knife with a stone is an art.  When you sharpen one side of the knife you have to get the same amount of strokes on the other side also.  Instead of just going up and back  doing a figure eight will help keep the same angle easier as you sharpen the knife.  So, if you make 25 figure eights on one side of the knife and 25 on the other. you can look close at the bevel that you made and if there are a bunch of lines in the bevel then you know that each different line made is at a different angle.  When I would train people to sharpen a knife to cut meat, it would take a good six months just to get the basics down.  Once you have learned the art of sharping a knife you will also learn how to use the knife to keep it sharp.
