I don't know why americans act like thet don't know why they are obese when they eat pancakes (dessert with sugar syrup) sugary cereals (flour and sugar) and hashbrowns ( fried potatoes) as breakfast.

Excellent movie. This scheme has been done in conjunction with the medical community. The elites running the insurance companies and food producers are making big bucks off of us. This is predatory capitalism at its worst. Making kids and adults fat and sick. And once you have type 1 diabetes, they have you for life.

I am angry they don't even mention "fruit drinks" which have more sugar pumped in than soda.
Apple juice, orange juice etc., are the wolf in sheep's clothing, claiming/teaching they're healthy, when in fact they are the worst.
Eat an apple, eat an orange that's healthy. However, the fruit drinks are liquified sugar killing our children.
Why wasn't that mentioned? Lobby too strong? (aka big money bribes)

Wow I'm impressed by all the doctors that have all found their way to the comments section here to enlighten us with their medical wisdom. Never in my life have I seen such a convergence of great medical minds in one place.

By all means, ask your government to look at this, but don't wait for them to do it for you. You're not beholden to them telling you what to do. No generation has had this much information at their fingertips; educate yourselves. Read. Ask questions. Experiment with different recipes. Other people can tell you what to eat, but do you know their motivations? Do you know their qualifications? Do you know that they would eat the same thing they recommend?

I think it's a multi pronged challenge, mind, spirit, and body (physical) the WHOLE family needs to work together to be healthy, I see overweight parents, even grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I was chubby at 14/15 yrs. of age. I never heard the end of it, even ridiculed by my mother's older sister. Well, today at the young age of 65, I've kept the weight off and I'm 5'3 120lbs. I work out all my life and when I do have a sweet, it's once in awhile. The ridicule I suffered did not help, it made my younger self very bitter, by the way, my mom's sister and the ones that made fun of a 14 year girl, are all overweight, Karma!

I like how Katie 'thought' of this on her own…. She should've been paying attention; many people have been saying this for years and the government and reporters haven't been listening. Low fat is bad. Carbs are bad. Go back to butter, meat, eggs, milk and you'll be good.
