if its like his in the video its worth quite abit if its in good nick. around £300-600+ . plus the four tabs on the side is to allow you to sew the scabard to somthing such as the inside of a jacket or the side of your trousers

This looks like an original pattern 2 to me, though I'm afraid I can't guess at the manufacturer. No. 2 is my favorite of the four versions and you're very lucky to have one. Also, don't worry. You pronounced Achnacarry correctly.

Hey, I got a couple questions about this knife. The sheath seems to have some sort of straps on it, and I was wondering where it might strap on. Also, mine is from WWII and still has a trademark on the blade. It reads "The FS Fighting Knife". How much do you think it is worth?

Mike, I have one that was my fathers, it has a ringed handle instead of the knurling like on yours. My sheath is a bit worn and the elastic is gong. They actualy made three versions of the knife with slight diferences, I have a version 3. do not know where he got it wish I did have more history on. Very cool knife, best regards,

During WWII my Dad acquired one of these from a Brit soldier. As a kid, I loved this knife and got a lot of slit fingers learning how to throw it. I don't have it anymore, but I still remember how balanced and reliable it was. His had a tight, leather-wrapped handle and more "gentle shoulders".
