this helps with my self esteem since im so insecure and i tend to overanalyze my face to the point where i see something i dont like that isn’t even as noticeable to others, when strangers call me pretty im usually like “u only think im pretty bc u havent seen me the way i view myself”

So if i buy Dove I will feel more beautiful? Regardless of the fact many people feel the same as those in the video, that is exactly the point. They're so ballsy that they tell you we know you think you're ugly so they offer a solution: Buy Dove products. Just because someone admits they manipulate you doesn't make it right.

Thank you Dove for creating the best ad of all times. I am referencing this ad to everyone, the second I hear they think they are ugly/not looking good/unattractive, you name it. And it helps them, big time. Once upon a time, this video pulled me out of the deepest of deep depression, when I realized, that we are the worst judges of ourselves, and all if it, JUST IN OUR HEAD. You, that reading this, you are damn beautiful and unique, and you probably don't even know it. Stop bringing yourself down. It is time to bring yourself UP, FLY, AND BE FREE and BE BEAUTIFUL IN THE ONLY WAY YOU ARE THE MOST STUNNING: YOUR OWN WAY.
I love you. Whoever you are.

"I have tears because other people see me without the layer of advertising messages that make me focus on my "flaws"….whaaaaaaaa". Dove is NOT your new best friend…they're making bank on selling you on that idea.
    REJECT IT!

Yeah this really struck a chord with me. Im glad I saw it. The times ive self analyzed and wanted to change my body in certain ways was all down to someone elses negative comments. I am all for standing up against people that demoralize someone else cause, usually it's a reaction to deal with some issue they are having in their own lives. Makes them feel big. if you realise that then I think you are halfway there, but definitely as a society we need to all recognise that being a dick to someone else has broader effects than you initially realise. So do it in a caring, non confrontational way and let's makelife better for everyone

I'm sorry, but I wonder what this would have been like if a woman with something very significant to feel insecure about was invited to participate? E.g. Lazy eye, double chin, scars, acne

  7. Exotic Me says:

Damn the woman is sssoooooo cute
BUT this is such a beautiful mgs , women should love , respect and accept themselves and just be themselves and that's what really makes them beautiful ❤

This video really speaks to girls I feel. And of course there will be people saying: oh boo hoo, first world problems. But that argument is a lazy and cheap way to shut the conversation down. And guess what, it can be used for ANYTHING. What you're in a 3rd world country, oh boo hoo, I'm in a 4th world country, and on and on until everyone shuts up and NOTHING changes. Your reality IS your reality, no one can tell you, oh, your problem is nothing because you LIVE IT, they have no right to speak FOR you.

A strangers not going to say they have dark circles or wrinkles
I don’t really agree with the experiment but I believe that we are beautiful in are own way… and sometimes just swaying you look beautiful today is all we need
