Hot water and dish soap works great or vegetable oil. I read never put boiling water down as it can crack your toilet but super hot is good. & keep the valve well oiled with vegetable oil as well.

Thanks. Great information. I had the same problem. I wondered about using hot water to unclog the tank. I used a green biochem type of cleaner. Supposed to dissolve paper as well as break down wastes. It seemed to work pretty well. Everything came loose and drained. But the hot water is good to know.

I'm trying to find a video to drop, and take my tank to the dump station. My grandson decided to drop all of the diaper wipes into the toilet. My RV has been stationary for 10 years so I have never dropped 1.

Now you tell me not to go to a complete boil. That should have been said when you said boil the water just not to a complete boil. Some of us are too lazy to watch the video to a complete finish too

Okay, thanks for the video. It didn't work for me, but this did. I got my shop vac and swapped the hose so that instead of suck it would blow, a leaf blower would also work. I put the hose into the opening of the toilet got an old t-shirt to seal up the remaining air space around the hole/to make an airtight seal. Then I turned on the vac. There was a little blow back into my face, lol, but it fixed the clog almost immediately. I then ran water from my outside hose to get everything out. Then I cleaned the bathroom and took a shower. 🙂

I can't tell you thanks enough for this video!!! I use regular toilet paper in mine (someone on Youtube said I could, and I believe EVERYTHING I see on the internet, lol) 😉 and anyway, it clogged… I was so scared that I'd have to take it into the dealership for them to do a costly fix. 🙁 Anyway, I didn't even boil the water, I just filled up four, 1 gallon pails of extremely HOT water straight from the tap and let it sit for a couple hours… It WORKED!!! 🙂 Thank you SO MUCH!!! I couldn't have done it without your help!!! 5 thumbs up for this video!!!!!!! 🙂 -PJ
